The site for the new house is a historical vine land situated within farm lands and the small town of Riebeek Kasteel just 90km away from Cape Town. Its was important to design the house not only to fit within the topography of the site, but also within the historical architectural fabric of the surrounding. Vineyards, farmland and mountain view together with north facing living rooms and bedrooms were key influences in the layout of the house.
