Wallendale Apartment
The Brief
At BM Architects, we understand that architecture is more than just a physical structure. It’s a craft that can capture emotion, feeling and beauty. With a passion for all things design, we strive to create transformative spaces that capture the essence of the client’s vision.
This project was an existing 1950’s apartment in Fresnaye, Cape Town. We were tasked to reconfigure the space, using new finishes and detail to compliment its existing architectural art deco. Through our innovative ideas and creative approach, we were able to bring the client’s vision to life.
The Concept
Open plan concept was introduced to the layout to improve the flow between broken living spaces. Existing balcony was enclosed seamlessly to create one large living room. Nnew fireplace, custom furniture and cabinetry were designed to compliment the existing art deco features of the apartment.
