The Brief

Nestled in Fresnaye on the Atlantic Seaboard, this Grade A heritage stone house required a substantial rethink of its outdoor spaces. The limited site needed to accommodate a new pool, hot tub, and seating areas for short-term guest stays.

The Concept

To maximize the pool size within the limited garden space, a four-sided rim-flow pool was introduced on one side of the property, while a hot tub was placed on the opposite side above the existing garage. A series of connecting spaces between the two elements creates areas for seating and lounging, while making the most of the mountain and ocean views.

Stone paving and natural timber decking complement the existing stone house, while the black pool and hot tub provide contrast.
